Diamonds
Formed over billions of years, each natural diamond we sell is graded and sourced with care, chosen for cut, clarity, color and carat, not just a certificate number.
Chemically and optically identical to their natural counterparts, lab grown diamonds offer exceptional size and clarity for the budget, without compromising on brilliance.

Guide to Diamonds
Every diamond starts as rough crystal. A cutter studies the stone and plans facets that trade raw weight for brilliance, because a smaller, better cut diamond will almost always outshine a larger, poorly cut one. Cut is the one factor entirely in human hands, and it has the biggest effect on how much a stone sparkles.
Grading is how the industry describes everything else. Independent laboratories assess a stone's color on a letter scale from colorless down through noticeable warmth, and its clarity by the size and position of the tiny internal characteristics nearly every diamond carries. Two stones of the same weight can sit many grades, and many price points, apart.
Price follows rarity. Carat weight compounds with high color and clarity grades, which is why a diamond twice the size can cost far more than twice as much. The good news: many grade differences are invisible without magnification, so knowing where you can compromise is how a budget goes further.
Natural diamonds formed in the earth over billions of years; lab grown diamonds are chemically and optically identical stones created in weeks. Naturals hold rarity, lab growns deliver more size and clarity for the budget. Neither answer is wrong, and we stock both.
The best way to learn is with real stones on a jeweler's cloth in front of you. Bring your questions and we will put diamonds side by side until the differences make sense.
Ask a GemologistThe Four C's of Diamonds
The four factors that determine a diamond's beauty and value, explained by the people who handle them every day.
How well a diamond's facets are proportioned and angled, which controls how light returns to your eye. Cut is graded from Excellent down to Poor and is the strongest driver of sparkle.
Graded on a letter scale beginning at D for colorless, with warmth increasing down the alphabet. Differences of a grade or two are hard to see once a stone is set.
A measure of the tiny internal and surface characteristics a diamond carries. Many are invisible without magnification, which makes clarity a smart place to balance a budget.
The diamond's weight, not its width. Price climbs steeply with weight because larger rough is rarer, so a small step down in carat can mean a real difference in price.
